Where children learn through play

(2–5 years)

Catering for up to 30 children, the main floor is a large, light and open space split into four different areas: creative; language and literacy; small world play; and maths. Our key staff members Samantha, Lisa, Janet, Mariama and Rose make full use of the nursery’s facilities to allow the children to learn through play, building on their natural curiosity to help develop their skills. A typical day will include reading in the story tent, using the computer, dressing up, and wet-play activities. Free play is mixed with organised activities, and children in their final year take part in pre-school activities such as learning their alphabet and introduction to numbers and arithmetic.

Generally, children move up from the baby room to the main floor when they are two, but we work with each individual child’s development and they can make the move a little earlier or later depending on what they and their parents are most happy with.

A bright, engaging environment where curiosity leads the way.

Through colour, movement, stories and play, children explore, imagine and grow every day.
